    You Need:
    OpenSSH
    WinSCP or Cyberduck (or every other SSH Browser)
    And the Updated GameCenter Pack-v2
    Mobile Substrate on your iPhone (use Cydia to download it)

    **Make sure iTunes is completely closed! **

    Settings for Cyberduck & WindSCP

    Cyberduck

    * Server: The IP address of your iPhone. Settings –> WiFi –> “Your Network Name”
    * Username: root
    * Password: alpine
    * Protocol: SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol)

    WinSCP

    * Hostname: The IP address of your iPhone. Setting –> WiFi –> “Your Network Name”
    * User name: root
    * Password: alpine
    * Protocol: SCP

    ** Getting Started*

    After connecting to your iPhone, Navigate to /private/var/stash/Applications and copy to this path the Game Center~iphone.app folder.
    After that, rightclick on the folder and set permissions to 0755 ( 755 ).
    Make sure you select "Set group, owner and permission recursively"

    2.
    Navigate to /system/libary/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/
    Now you got the choose between different N82AP.plist 's.

    Choose the one you like from the downloaded folder and replace it with the one on the iPhone.

    3.
    Navigate to System/Libary/LaunchDeamons/ directory then drag & drop com.apple.gamed.plist into the directory

    4.
    Navigate to usr/libexec/ directory then drag & drop gamed file into the directory and set the permission to 0755 (755)

    5a.
    If you already used the old method: remove the old dyld_shared_cache_armv6 file from the /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.dyld folder with the original one, if you havent backed up your's, Download link below.

    Dont forget to reboot your device.

    5b. If you're a "new" user and havent used the old method, or you just removed the old one and replaced it with the original one then go to the next step. New Users go to the Next Step and ignore 5a

    6.
    Open Cydia and search for "GC Patcher - iPhone 3G"
    this Addon from Shani allows you to enable game detection to your GameCenter and also Patches some games that got their "own" protection to check if your device is allowed to run GameCenter.

    7.
    Reboot your device, and youre done.

    Doesn't help me due to the iPod I own comin with game center, but I'll say thanks anyway, as it could be of use to some people.

    Soon as 4.1 is jailbroken, I've got to try that same basic thing to enable multitasking and home screen wallpaper.(just gotta google and see if I can find the name of the plist I gotta edit)

    I think this will work since apple didnt strip down stuff of the 4.0 ios version

    Multitasking etc were all build in just not activated

    i wished i looked at this before i downgraded. because i jailbroke 4.1 and it messed up everything but before i downgraded i transfered game center.app to my computer.

    i downgraded to 4.0 and tranferred the app to it but it didnt show the app after i respringed and rebooted.

    so all i have to do is add that in my plist and it will be there
