how would i edit this

    Use an sftp client, like winSCP.

    1) Right click on it.
    2) Delete it.

    No offence, but how long have you been using a mac. I got my first one 2 months ago, and even I figured it out. Go into safari, type in /Users/skaterchase123/.ssh/, and then grab the known_hosts file, and drag it to trash.

    or just restart your computer, that worked for me
