look at the system requirements of the games
i got sims 3 on the macbook aluminum 13" its one of the old ones
it funs fine but i have to close everything down to make it run at maximum
so i assume that it will run fine on on a mbp but if u want it to run faster upgrage the ram coz it the mb pcomes with 2gb ram but it can hold up to 8gb
so to be on the safe side upgrade it incase u get a new game that uses alot of ram but im fine with 2gb

i have the lowest end model of the macbook pro 13
    and so far

For counter strike, max everthing i get about 60 fps average

for Cod4 i am running automatic texture settings, shadow and glow turned off. 1024 X 768 and i am averaging 50-60 fps. Granted automatic settings make it look like sh*t but it's extremely playable

Yeah CS:S runs really well, so does Guild Wars. Not sure about the rest of em. World of Warcraft, Warcraft III and Spore also run well under OSX.

COD4 runs great for me, but I had the higher end Unibody macbook with 2.4ghz and 2gb ram. I think I was running it at max settings.
