So after many hours of tinkering I finally have my iPod Touch pwned w/ 2.0. Here how I did it....

    Prerequisites:
iTunes (I used 7.7, don't know if 7.5 will work)
iTouch / iPhone 2.0 firmware (ipsw)
    iTouch / iPhone running 2.0
Latest build of xPwn (I used 0.3.2)

NOTICE: If you don't know how to use command-line utilities, ask someone else. Maybe Google

    Instructions:
    1. Create your custom IPSW
    Code:
ipsw [path to iPod1,1_2.0_5A347_Restore.ipsw] [output ipsw name & path] -b [path to custom boot image] -r [path to custom recovery image] [path to bundle1.tar] [path to bundle2.tar]...
    2. Shutdown ALL Apple background sh*t (ie, AppleMobileDeviceHelper.exe, AppleMobileDeviceService.exe, iPodService.exe, iTunes.exe, iTunesHelper.exe)

    3. Start your iToy in DFU mode
    4. Run the DFU-Util
    (NOTE: n82ap = 3G iPhone, m68ap = First-generation iPhone, n45ap = iPod touch)
    Code:
dfu-util [path to custom firmware created in step 1] n45ap
If successful, your iToy screen should turn white

    5. Start iTunes and wait for it to recognize your iToy in DFU mode. iTunes will put the device into Recovery mode

    6. Hold Shift on your keyboard and press the Restore button in iTunes.

    7. Select your custom firmware file created in step 1 and click OK.

That should do it, if you have questions, leave a reply.

P.S. MUCH MUCH MUCH THANKS to the dedicated iphone-dev team and everyone who worked tirelessly to make Pwnage and xPwn possible. <3
    Also, shoutz to Zibri

I screwed it up at least 15-20 times trying to figure it out.

I've only had this thing since the 11th of this month, so it's all new to me, but it seems very difficult if not impossible to brick this thing, especially with all the available tools. (Referring to the iTouch of course)

Haha, try and stay away from iTouch if you dont want to get flamed =S Some people almost take it personally....Good to see you writing a tutorial so soon though, nice.

Thanks for the advice... personally I don't care is a couple kids get butthurt over something trivial like "iTouch", but I'll keep it in mind.

Appreciate the appreciation for writing the article... I was having a difficult time following some of the other how-to's because they were missing minor details, but IPTF.com has helped me since day 1 to get jailbroken and running my own stuff, so I'm happy to give something back (even if it is only a windows how-to)

    why? How to resolve?
