OK, so i know many of you would love to be able to use unofficial video cables on your ipod touch, but don't want to pay for resupported.

    Well here is your solution:

Go to cydia> search> landscape tv out> install

    Warning!!! reboot of device

Reboot> plug in the cable to the ipt and tv> go to settings> tv out:
    Force tv out: on

Hopes this helps. Let me know if it does.

    UPDATE

I found an even better (also free source) called TV-out (and no reboot required just a respiring)

Ok, i've seen a few ipod to video cables that just plug into the 3.5 mm headphone jack. Do these work?

Ok I bought those cables from eBay and it won't work. There is only sound and no picture or video.

    To Mkhcb:

What is cydia and WHERE IS IT LOCATED? You mentioned "Warning :Rebbot of Device!" So will this wipe out all my videos, songs, pics....etc and user settings? Please advice! Thank you.

Unfortunately no. The RCA to 3 mm jack cables don't work. Only the dock connectors work.

    Sorry.

Thanks, can I just buy any dock connector and follow your steps? Or does it have to be made for iPod touch?

As long as the dock connector cable support tv out and worked on ipt firmware 1.x or 2.x then you should be fine.

Umm, you must have a jailbroken device. Cydia is an installer (such as Rock or Icy). And a reboot will not wipe anything.. a reboot is just restarting your device.

Hey I am sorry I missed your post. Anyhow, Chris is right. You must jailbreak your iPod touch with a program like blackra1n.

Also, I placed the reboot warning for ipt3g users. If you have an ipt3g and are jailbroken, a reboot will disable your device untill you can get to a computer and boot your iPod touch.

Seeing how it looks like you are new, read up on the jailbreak processes (it's free to do).

    Hope I could help.

Sorry once again for missing your post.
