I just can't find it as a disc drive. Is there any way to enable disc storage.
I assume you are talking about the iPod touch/iPhone. These two devices do not support disk mode, and there is no way of enabling it. You can access your device's files through SSH, however.
P.S. Welcome to the forums.
As hellrider said, you can't enable disk mode. You can use 3rd party applications, such as ImToo or Total Commander, but you need to have them installed on any machines you want to access the files on.
I saw a photo of itunes where on the summary page there was an option "enable disc storage"
On my version which is 7.6 there isn't an option like that.
You cannot enable disk storage for the iPod Touch (so you can't mess with the filesystem, even though we do!) you can enable disk storage for other iPods though, just not the iPhone/iPod Touch
Yeah sorry your right I just saw the photo again and it was a different ipod.
What about someone saying that there was a bluetooth function in the ipod touch
but that it was not activated. Any truth in this?
No truth in that.
