I have a jailbroken ipod touch and somehow buddy at my work broke it and it will no longer turn on, or get recognized when i plug it into my computer. I want to send it into apple, but they will know that it is jailbroken and probably will not fix it. i know that they jailbreaking had nothing to do with it messing up cause i had it jailbroked for about a month now with no problems. I was just wondering if anyone knew how i can unjailbreak it (remember my computer wont recognize it or itunes therefore i cant resore it).

Hmmmmm, not to be rude, but if you don't know why you don't do that, what would lead you to give another member information which you yourself don't fully understand?

DFU mode is not something unknown to Apple, they clearly know about it as it is their device.....so to send it to them like that, they'll know how to get it out of that state.

And to the OP, what happened before it could not connect to your computer? Have you tried connecting to other usb ports or restarting your computer?

I dunno what happened to it. It was working fine before I took it to work. It worked on the comp and evetthing. When I got to work I guess buddy was playing with it and dropped it or something now it won't even turn on or let me connect it to the computer. I tried resetting it and everything and nothing still won't happen.

U don't need a computer to go into dfu. U just need it plugged in, put in dfu, and then see if your computer recognizes it. Also it dosent matter if your computer dosent recognize it you can put it into dfu.
