If it stopped on its way through a restore then you have incomplete firmware.

Completely restart the jailbreak process, not rebuilding the custom firmware but the pree jailbreak process etc, then try again.

make sure you're in DFU mode.

At the moment it is definately bricked and will not turn on, this is because you have no OS to load.

View my previous post and it should help you fix this.

    What he said ^

    Either that OR

Your ipod realized its been hacked and locked itself up. Put it in DFU mode, (yes its possible) while its plugged in to the computer. Restore to official firmware. If that doesnt work try Recovery Mode, and if that doesnt work do the jailbreak until the step your screen turns white. Plug out, plug in, and restore.

And i wouldnt go as far as to say its bricked. Bricked means it cannot be fixed by software and that is what we are doing here

Notice: Bricked = Your product has had some of it's software royally messed with and it won't turn on. There is no way to recover/restart/restore.

The ipod touch is not brickable, just go into DFU mode and restore from itunes

That's isn't exactly how you go into DFU mode.

    DFU mode=
home+power for 10 seconds, then let go of power and continue holding home for 10 more seconds

then open iTunes and restore, or start your prejailbreak process
