On 4.0 you can get iPod, Phone, and Messaging with editing one .plist. First Navigate to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/

Then look for a file called N72AP.plist and open it in a text editor

Then find another file called simulator.plist and also open that

Find three things in simulator.plist: unified-ipod, telephony, and sms

Please Register or Log in to view images

Copy the code for those items and put them in N72AP.plist (Or in Mac Drag and Drop them)

Replace the files in SpringBoard.app and Respring!

Is it going to be functional, or is it purely decorative?

    Useless guide is useless.

Unless you trick your friends you have an iPhone iPod.
