I've been trying to figure out how to transfer the music from my ipod to my computer as i just got a new one. The old Ipod is a generation 2 Ipod touch, and i just got new iTouch Thanks for the help! PS: My OS is Windows 7.
BTW - the files are located in Click: Raw File Systems //var/mobile/Media/iTunes_Control/Music use ifunbox - go to music (encrypted) copy to pc - ** don't worry with the naming of the files. Just transfer it back to itunes music library and it will automatically change back to its original filename. Note: you have to be jailbroken
Reinstall your system and your iTunes library, or just get your music, videos and photos off your iPod, and save them to your computer 1.go to music in ipod when connected to computer 2.select the songs 3.drag to the itunes area for music 4.your done Hopefully this works for all of you like it just worked for me!
Get Sharepod/ Or any other program to transfer music. There's a more complex way to do this, but that may only be for the other iPods (Classic, old Nano's, Shuffle, ect..)
If you can't figure out how to transfer all your data from your old computer to your new one, you can check out an app called Senuti. But transferring all your data to your new computer will be a much better option since I assume there are other files as well you will miss. Besides, there is a article about iPod Music Transfer, which can help you transfer iPod songs to computer. For PC: How to transfer and copy music from iPod to Windows For Mac: How to transfer music/songs from iPod to Mac OS Hope that work for you so much.
