this may be a dumb question, but how I you tell if my touch is jailbroken or not?

I purchased a used touch a while back running 1.1.4 and was thinking about upgrading to 2.0.2.

I'm a bit confused, as the person that I bought it from said it wasn't jailbroken, but some of the apps appear not to have come out till version 2.

Would I be able to upgrade the firmware if I find a valid 2.0.2 firmware on the net straight from 1.1.4 or are there any steps in between?

    thanks

Look on the screen for the Cydia or Installer icon. If they are there it is jailbroken

You can make a straight upgrade through iTunes right to 2.0.2. If you buy it (encouraged) then it is straight through iTunes, if you don't buy it (illegal) it is more difficult. Although I support jailbreaking, I recommend you buy the upgrade because not doing so is stealing and a much easier process anyway.
