    Hi,
HOW TO SYNC TO A NEW COMPUTER WITHOUT LOSING APPS AND DATA

Step 1. Go to your Ipod Touch tab on Itunes and click on apps
Step 2. Tick the sync apps button
Step 3. Say ok to dialog that comes up
Step 4. Click apply and when the sync in progress screens goes up on your screen unplug your ipod with lightning speed.
Step 5. Reconnect to computer and right click on your ipod touch tap and click transfer purchases.
Step 6. Voila! All your ipod apps are on itunes.

IF YOU LOSE ANY DATA WHILST DOING THIS YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE NOONE ELSE BUT YOU

Sounds like a very risky procedure. I wouldn't recommend anybody doing this. But if it works for you, bravo.

I have to agree, I'm looking to sync with another computer but that just sounds crazy. Hope it worked for you but I sure wont be trying this.

This is how I do it.

    1) Make sure I sync everything I want on my iPod
    2) Use copytrans (or alternative) to extract everything onto the new computer
    3) Authorise and transfer purchases to get the apps onto the new computer

Syncing an iPhone with a New Windows PC
    1. For windows 7 users, you'll need to copy the following directories and their contents from the old PC to the new PC:
    C:\Users\USERNAME\Music\iTunes
    C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\
    C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\Preferences\
Here, the "USERNAME" is the user's account name, obviously.
Try this way. But I am not sure it works everytime.
