This tutorial is for anybody who has tried downloading an app, and instead of downloading, it just said "waiting"! You tried rebooting, and the app was still there!

    Requirements:

    • iPhoneBrowser or iExplorer (I will use iExplorer for this tutorial because it works for both PC and Mac)
    • You do not need a jailbroken device to do this

    Downloads:

    iExplore Homepage

    Steps:

    1. Plug your iPod/iPhone/iPad into your computer. You don't need to let it sync
    2. Open iExplore and let it load
    3. Open the directory labeled "Downloads" (On jailbroken devices that should be "/var/mobile/Media/Downloads")
    4. Delete all files in this folder*
    5. Close iExplore and reboot your device

*Jailbroken devices with Safari Download Manager or other programs may have files in this directory, any files that you added to this folder don't need to be deleted

This was my first tutorial, but there were several flaws along with some incorrect information. I have updated it so it is easier to follow, and has the correct information.

Also, I understand that all file manipulations can be done through iFile or SSH, but I am trying to provide a tutorial for both Jailbroken and Sandboxed devices, so I am also providing a way that will work for both :D

    Nice, guide.

What will happen if I don't download the manifest file, and put it in there. Because I didn't?

If the waiting files are gone then it should be fine, I dont know if your ipod replaces the manifest.plist or not, I put it in there just in case it dosent, I dont want to be responsible for wrecking anything. Ill look into it, try downloading apps and if it dosent work put the file there and it will!

Or you can just reboot and they're finished installing...

You should be able to reboot and it fixes its self, but for some reason there are some ipods were this dosent work. Also I've seen an issue were people loose there network connection and cant get back online, then they can do this to get rid of the unwanted waiting files insted of trying to find another connection.
