I currently have a 64GB iPT that's Jailbroken on 3.1.2. If I were to sell it jailbroken, would the buyer need to restore it since it wont' be able to sync to his Itunes?

Restoring of course will force it to update to FW 3.1.3.

It would be able to sync to his iTunes library. Why would it not be able to?

No. iTunes simply erases the information and loads the media from the new library. Just remind the buyer not to update.

If I could swap my iPod touch 3G 8GB 3.1.2 Jailbroken for a 1G or a 2G, I would do that anyday now.

    edit/

ontopic: selling on ebay: tell seller not to update or bye bye jailbreak. also say no refunds.

Yeah, but an 8GB doesn't have the same specs as the 64 GB.

Also, make sure that "no refunds" doesn't pop out. You don't want anyone to be suspicious of anything bad.

Or you can do the fake 3.1.3 thing, so you can't really update it, and do the SHSH thing so just incase he restores for some sort of reason.
