How to save maps/directions?

    is there any way to save directions or a map in the map application? Or is
    There another program. Im hittin up some bike parks with a friend friday so id like to get it figured out by then. Something easy please...

    there may be something for jailbroken ipods in cydia ???

    If you click through all the directions while still connected to wi-fi the maps and directions will download and be kept even when disconnected. I've done this many times... Though you cannot change or reverse directions when not connected, you will lose all the maps.

    well you could view the maps when you are connected to wi-fi and just take screenshots of them, then they will be saved in your photos

    to take a screenshot just press down the power/sleep button and hold while you click the home button.
    or you can press them at the same time.

    wouldn't that be the logical solution?

    I thought about it but i cant really scan the map or zoom in really. I more so want the written directions but id have to take a million screen shots. was just wondering if there was a program. tried xgps and offline maps. couldnt figure it out.
