I have a problem that i need major help with. I jailbroke my 2g iPod Touch a while ago. I Got sick of it, so i then decided to update my ipod to the 3.1 firmware, without unjailbreaking my ipod first. The ipod is updated like normal, but all of the space that was taken up from when it was jailbroken is still there and taking up a lot of space that i need. How do i get rid of this useless data from when it was jailbroken? (Is no longer jailbroken)
    Please help!! Any is appreciated

    turn off ipod
hold home and power button for 10 seconds
without letting go of home button release the power button and continue holding home for 10 more seconds
connect to itunes and restore as new ipod

Settings => General => Reset => Erase All Content and Settings. It may take a couple of hours depending on your iPod Capacity, after that put it in DFU mode and upgrade to whatever firmware you want.

If you have any idea of what you are doing you can use iFunBox to delete the files, but I recommend you to backup everthing you can, you can use iFunBox to backup the musics, videos, photos and the rest of the things you can follow this:
    http://www.ihackintosh.com/2009/07/manually-backup-iphone-contacts-sms/

Then do what I said on my last post and Restore to the firmware you want.
