how to retrieve my own wifi password?

    i got a wifi connection in my house, which is password protected. its already connected to my laptop, because i remember the password back then. but now, i forgot the password and i want to connect it to my ipod. is there any way to do this?
    and no ones in my family know about this stuff.. so... no point asking them

    setup your router again, you should be able to change the password there.

    One, use the CD or instructions that were packaged with the router.
    Two, contact the manufacturer online with the model number, etc. to get the software to do a reinstall. I did this for an old-er router.

    Shouldn't the password key be at the back/underneath of the router?

    Yes the WEP code is always on the router

    Uhh, no its not. What if you decide to change the encryption key? Does the "Key" on the router change also?

    @Original Poster.

    There should be a button or something to reset the settings of the router. Just do that.

    LOL the wep key will be on the side of your router....its the password to your wifi
