Can't get into your iDevice because you forgot your passcode? Here's a solution that works, and doesn't involve a DFU restore!

    You will need:
    • a jailbroken iDevice
    • to have OpenSSH installed on your iDevice
    • iTunes
    • An SSH client on your PC (For Windows, WinSCP. Mac users, Cyberduck)
WARNING: THIS SOLUTION WILL RESET SOME PASSWORDS IN APPS.
    How-to:

    1. Open your SSH client. Turn on your iDevice and connect it to your computer via SSH; There are plenty of tutorials of how to do that around the net. Try "SSH iphone" or something similar on google.
    2. Navigate to the root folder. Then go to var. Then into a folder called "Keychains".
    3. Delete the file named "keychain-2.bd"
    4. Restart your iDevice. You should now be able to unlock it without entering a passcode.
THIS TUTORIAL WAS WROTE FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES AND TO HELP USERS. DO NOT USE THIS GUIDE TO GET INTO STOLEN DEVICES!!
    Hope this helps you,
    Fionn

Thank you so much for this guide. This should be a sticky because it will help many of us in the future.

This won't really help people who steal iphone/itouches because most of the stolen ones won't be jailbroken, and even if they are jailbroken, they need to know the SSH passcode.

Thanks! I'll see if I can get it made into a sticky!

Hi. Do you have openssh installed? If you don't, that's the problem. Create a thread with your problem in it; you will get more help.

NICE! Thanks a lot. Happened to me once long back. A Sticky for this would help loads.
