My young daughter got an iPod Touch for her birthday.

(before I go further let me just take the opportunity to admit how completely naive I was...uggg)

So we have Wifi which her iPod is now not connected to, but it was.

She was going on Youtube and watching some rather inappropriate things.

Anyway....I can't seem to find a way to delete the videos she has already watched, as well as delete you tube completely from the iPod.

Any advice on how to do this would be GREATLY appreciated!

As far as deleting her history on YouTube, I don't think you can. You can't delete the app either. But, you can block it. There are parental restrictions in the settings. You can set it up so you type in a password so you can monitor what she watches.

Go to Settings > General > Restrictions and then do the following (Note: It will ask you to input a 4 Number sequence which will be the password to lock down these features so she cannot re-enable them when you're not looking. Make sure to keep it hidden from her):

You are able to clear the history in the youtube app. But unfortunately, you're unable to delete the app itself. What you can do though if your daughter is on 2.0+ is set up a feature on the ipod to block her from accessing the app. You can password protect so that she is unable to access it no matter what. If you go into the settings app you can find the restrictions setting so you can set up the parental controls.

This works if your daughters iPod is on Firmware 2.0 or higher.

You can check which firmware version she is using by plugging it into your computer, opening up iTunes, and selecting the iPod touch under the Devices menu. It will show some information about the iPod touch such as capacity and the firmware version.

Its a good thing you can't view the comments left by users who watch the videos. Those are worse than most videos themselves.
