How to open a .dmg file?

    I acquired the iPod Touch 1st-gen 3.0 beta, but it's in a .dmg file. How would I go about extracting/running it on Windows? (W7)

    You don't need to use one if you got it legally.

    TransMac or MacDrive or PowerISO. Choose your poison.

    transmac is by far the easiest

    7zip is much easier. Just install it. Open the DMG like you would open a zip file. Find the image file in there, open that and the ipsw is in there.

    Shouldnt matter if you got it legaly...

    Nahh 7zip doesnt work all the time especially for never dmg's, trans is definitely better.
