I think it's just the 64 bit operating systems; my 32 bit Vista's working fine.

Cydia's still a bit dodgy for me, but I'll live. :p. (I've essentially done what you did, but about 3 times now. :p)

Same problem over here. Done it the second time round. Use my XP to do the job.

I can't vouch for 64-bit Vista, but I can confirm that it worked just fine on 64-bit 7. The only step I took was running redsn0w as Administrator. I'm not sure if it was actually necessary, but it doesn't ever hurt.

it has some issues with vista.. i read posts before mine and they said it works on 32-bit, mine is 32-bit vista; tried run as admin, tried compatibility with xp sp2 and still no... tried on an xp, and yes, it worked. try jn'ing on an xp and i think it should work fine.

Sorry, I didn't answer sooner. I have to go to the public library in the next town to use internet.

    noobster01,

The graphical interface portion of the jailbreak is "Done" nevertheless the jailbreak needs time to perform it's magic.

The uTube video helps: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1oUzJBLpJd0 shows you the process and what to expect.

I have my 32-bit Vista Basic successful jailbreak details here: http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1644722#post1644722

    fishjelly,

I didn't have iTunes ON during the jailbreak.

If iTunes starts, in iTunes>mouse-click highlight select Edit>select Preferences>select Devices tab>check "Disable automatic syncing for iPhones and iPods" and/or select Devices: iPod Touch>Summary>uncheck "Open iTunes when this iPod is attached" and close iTunes.
