You can get Installer and jailbreak on 1.1.5 but then it will not let you download summerboard or customize and a couple of other things firmware specific. I included i link for the 1.1.4 restore. All you have to do is hold shift, press restore and choose the 1.1.4 firmware then jailbreak.

Why don't you just use Print Screen, rather than using screen capture?

PrtScn takes images as if you are looking at them right on your own screen. MUCH better, just a recommendation for next time. GREAT tutorial though, I just ordered an iPod Touch from Apple tonight so I look forward to this to Jailbreak it!

Hey there, i've tryed your tuto and i'm really sorry to be the first and only one who seem to have problem.....

    Here it is,

First is it normal to have the itunes icon with the cable on the ipod during the operation (after unplugged and repluged.

Second how long should it take..... mine have been in the process for more than 10 minutes now..... is it normal.....

    Regards

    Bill

Edit: in the iliberty at the bottom it says : Booting Ramdisk at the left and in the botom right Recovery mode....

    P.s i'm on 1.1.2

Edit 2: Bored of waiting that something happen (about 15minutes after pressing go for it) i restarted the ipod, and it booted in something strange.... black screen with white writting, at the end it loop on somthing like bsd:device:HD0......again and again , and again......

so rebooted again ... but in dfu mod.....

    will try with firmware 1.1.5

    see what happen....

P.s. i take the firmware from http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/.... maybe i pick the wrong one

was with iPod1,1_1.1.2_3B48b_Restore was that rightt ???

Edit 3: Now tryed on 1.1.5 and it seem to be working...don't have the itune icon & cable image... and it got into a kind of installer.....looks good so far...

    Finger crossed....

Edit 4: Forget about everything, your tuto kick ass!!!! got it all running... tho installer bug...ill try cydia
