    Hello people,

I've just got my iPod Touch 3G with firmware 3.1.3, and it's an 8GB edition.

I thougt of a jailbrake, but I've got some questions:
    1. How to do it? I've searched verry much, but I'm such a noob.... I don't understand what they mean... Can you guys/girls give me a guide for a n00b like me?
    2. What to do if your device turns off cause of low battery?
    3. Will I lose any of my music, vids or apps?
    4. When I resore my iPod Touch (how, by the way), will the warranty still be there, or has Apple software to see if it was jailbroken?

I hope you guys/girls can help me

    1. you should be able to restore to the 2g 3.1.2 firmware so that you can jailbreak (3g with 3.1.3 cannot be jailbroken)
    2. you can usually reboot it with the computer (not lose any media) if it is tethered
    3.yes probably
4.if you do a DFU restore, then no they cannot tell wether it has been jailbroken in the past.

    1. How do I downgrade? Where to get the firmware? And the main thing; how to jailbrake?
    2. What you say: I can just reboot with my pc?
    3. --I've just got to back it up--
    4. What is an DFU restore?

Sorry for al these questions.... I'm a noob, and I know it.

    1. click tutorials at the top and select coca cola's post
    2. as in downloading and installing a program like blackra1n to restart your ipod
    3. you can just resync it to itunes and it will restore it your ipod to your pre-reboot set up
    4. Device firmware update, there are many guides located on the forums. just search DFU restore and your will find a few

    Question:
Where to get the 3.1.2 FW? It isn't in coca cola's post
And wich one shoud I take? blackra1n or redsn0w? Wich one causes less problems?
And is it just downgrade FW, run blackra1n or whatever, and it's jailbroken?
And can I still sync it; put new music and vids on it..?

    EDIT:
    Read this one:

your serial number is used to report your ipod as stolen as far as i know, and if anyone else knows it basicly lets them say your stole it unless you kept your receipt,
    2.1 i never jailbroke my ipod as i have a 36gb 3g ipod touch
2.2 as for the error code 28 as far as i know its with blackra1n but there is already a fix for it called blackbreeze
