After serious testing, got a new tweak up. "Native" SMS with Google Voice. Works great and solved every known glitch with 3G iPad's. Should work fine but report any issues. Thanks!

You should probably add that you have to change the permissions of the MobileSMS.app to 0755 or 755 if you're using MobileTerminal

I actually never set permissions on mine, and I used 3 different MobileSMS.app's. I was thinking about it but I was waiting until someone actually had a problem with it. If they did, I would update it with that fix.

Hey, why don't you undo your mod you did manually and test mine out? Backup your files if you wish to go back to your way :) Just would be nice for you to test mine.

EDIT: Might as well add an "If it doesn't launch" now that the cats out of the bag :p

Hmm. IDK. Maybe because I naturally do the correct process of transporting apps. I guess it just preserves the permissions. One of my apps for sure was preserved. I made sure of it. The others idk.

Updated thread, and ok thanks :)

How do you transport apps? I just copy it to the desktop and then transfer it to /Applications folder with iFunbox

Hmm...iFile isn't letting me open your .zip file it says "unable to open document"

I zip them in the device itself, copy that with Cyberduck to the other device or my desktop to the other device. Zipping on the device seems to keep permissions and Cyberduck does as well.

Running iFile's server from the iPhone and accessing that server with your iPad will 100% keep the permissions.

Weird, try on your computer. I zipped it with my Hackintosh. Never had a problem before.

Tell me if it happens still.

Nice I never tried that thanks!

    Got it....backing up now

Also the reported glitch is fixed by Hitting Return while typing in the app and then hit delete and it should be fixed

    ----EDIT-----

Your .deb works perfectly good job! :)

No prob! Also custom ringtones are working for me...oddly enough apple left the SMS tones on the iPad but not the MobileSMS.app weird...I recommend using winterboard to replace ringtones
