How to install Windows 3.1 and Windows 95 on iDos

This is to clarify all the questions of how to put windows 95 and 3.1 on iDos

A QUICK NOTE: Windows 95 takes a short while to boot, after selecting it DO NOT touch anything, unless it prompts u to enter normal or safe mode etc. Select Normal. Then do not touch anything or even open the keypad or keyboard. Make sure you go into Start>Shut down, to completely exit Windows 95, otherwise it will take a long time to open it next time.

    - Firstly download this

    - Extract everything inside it with winRar.You can find WinRAR here.
Minimize the folder, that the final, extracted files are in.

    - You can follow the tutorial inside that or continue on with mine. My tutorial is a bit easier to follow

    Step 1

    - Open itunes

    - Go to the Application tab

    - Then scroll down to file sharing

    - Select iDos then
Out of the files you extracted earlier, that should be open or minimized

    Highlight:

    W95.img
    win.bat
    win3.bat
    win3.1.zip

and drag and drop them into the iDos sharing folder.

    Step 2
ok.. so now thats the itunes done.

    - Next you can unplug ur device if u want..

    - Go into iDos and type "win3" the screen may look like it freezes or lags, but its extracting files.

    - Once you get to the blue screen, press enter to continue,
    [IMG]

    - Then select express Setup (recommended)

    - Once all the files have been copied enter a name, then hit continue:
    - Then you will be prompted to set up a printer, hit no printer attatched, then install.

    - Next select Skip Tutorial

    - Then select return to MS-DOS
    [IMG]

DONE! you have installed windows 3.1, but now comes for Windows 95, but that is easier as it is a bootable image

    - First go back to C:/ in iDos, by typing cd .. (u must type the space and two dots (...)
    - Then type "win" make sure u are in C:/ and not in WINDOWS.

    - Then select either 1 to run Windows 3.1
    - Or 2 for Windows 95

You now have 2 versions of Windows on iDos to play around with
Comment or PM me for help if needed

You should give credit when you copy these tutorials to the person who actually created it.
