SpringBoard is the homescreen of your iPod
SummerBoard is the 1.1.x theme application
WinterBoard is the 2.x theme application
FallBoard is well I forget but it's nothing important, I think it was a make-shift customize before the actual customize came out for 2.x and failed.

People who say easy and everuthing are the noob... You could just have said : It's the home screen of the iPod, where are all the apps.
