After finding that there was really no decent guide on how to install Android on an iPod Touch, I decided to write one.

    What you will need:
An iPod Touch 1g running 3.1.2 jailbroken with blackra1n
Vmware Workstation (If you want to install with windows, not sure if Vmware Player works.)
    Ubuntu 10.04 Download here
    Openiboot Download here
    iDroid Download here
    Winscp Download here
    iFunboxDownload here
OpenSSH (Installed from Cydia on your iPod touch)
Libreadline, Libusb, and pthread need to be installed on Ubuntu. (All 3 can be downloaded from the package manager.)

Alright, so I start here assuming you have the above. Please note that 3.1.2 iPods jailbroken with redsn0w may or may not work, but I recommend using balckra1n as redsn0w did not work for me.

School started, don't know when guide will be up.

This guide no longer exists, use bootlace instead, it's faster and easier. ~MBFtrace (Thanks for all the response guys <3)

I'm trying it out now. I hope it works!

Edit: Am I doing something wrong? When I type "./loadibec openiboot.img3" in the terminal, it says "No such file or directory"

Did you move loadibec and oibc and openiboot.img3 into the openiboot folder in the home?

In the zip file, there's a folder called idroid. Do I just copy all the files from it into the openiboot folder I created in my home folder?

Edit: I copied the openiboot folder into my home folder, and now when I type it into terminal, it says Permission denied.

No, copy the files from the openiboot folder in the idroid folder into the one you created in your home folder.

Yea I did. I'm going to try restoring my iPod, and jailbreaking it with Blackra1n.

Jailbreaking it with Blackra1n didn't change anything. I still get permission denied.

Did you do sudo su and enter your password? Try running the command as "sudo ./loadibec openiboot.img3" instead. Hope we can get your problem sorted out.

Wait... Did you copy the files from the zip file (idroid/openiboot) to your home folder or home/openiboot? Because it needs to be in home/openiboot.
