[how to] hiding apps

    Device:
    iPod touch
    ssh in to the app folder that you want to hide
    then in there rename the info.plist to something else
    e.g. info.plist1
    (you can use mobilefinder)

    reboot/respring and the app will be gone.

    this is easy enough, so developers could use it to hide apps.
    simple as renaming a file.

    Will you still be able to access it with a different application, or maybe even Dock?

    No it just wont show up.. its no longer a readable plist file so summerboard cant read it.

    yeah. If you can't get to it through dock, then either this is useless or the app you are hiding is useless. Lol

    Great, thanks. I've just used it to hide Photos and Stocks, as I simply have no reason to use either of them.
