I Stupidly updated rock using cydia and now rock nolonger works, as cydia have taken over rock. Does anybody know hoe to get it back as I REALLY don't like wasting my time waiting for cydia to load all the time.

    Thanks.

Cydia is Rock. Everything from Rock is being moved to Cydia, including Rock only apps and backups, so just give it some time and you'll feel like Rock all over again once the full Cydia transition is over.

And don't worry if you purchased anything in Rock, just transfer your account with the Rock transfer tool and then you can get back all your stuff that you had in Rock.

but rock was about 4 times quicker than cydia, So is cydia going to pick up the speed of rock ? I didn't think it was.

Rock cut dangerous corners to increase speed. Saurik and chpwn wont do the same. Check out the faq in cydia

but almost EVERYBODY I have spoken too have NEVER had a problem with rock , and we all just thought it was Saurik (great as he is) scare mongering. Nothing was ever proved that rock cut corners and how would that EVER effect the startup speed of rock ???????

Try to find a download link for Rock and SSH it over.

Their is no proof that the new cydia is slower than rock.

NO, because the NEW rock can't download ANYTHING anymore that's why

but the OLD rock took about 35 seconds to show the list and cydia takes well over 2 minutes with the SAME repo's. so that's the only proof needed. You were always gonna get Cydia fanboys and rock fanboys that would defend the one they liked best. I just used the fastest one that worked, which at the time happened to be rock.
