Has anyone used the Any Video Converter program for iPod Touch?
I learn that it can convert .mkv files to iPod's supported format. I have an anime series with 28 episodes in the mkv format. Does anybody know at what settings (format, Bitrate, resolution, sample rate) i should use?

Look for converters that have already predefined settings for various devices. A lot of converters have an option for just "iPhone". Don't worry. iPhone/iPod touch, same thing resolution-wise.

The best converter I've ever seen is called "encode-handheld". I've come across encodes that took very very little space done with this baby. Sure, they used BluRay sources (always a plus). The encodes looked absolutely beautiful at very small filesizes. The programs is awesome but it's for Linux, which means it's feeware. So tough luck if you use Windows or OS X !

I am using Any Video Converter Pro! It supports m2ts as input. There is just iPod touch output profile in the right panel of the sw, you can just select it and convert the videos. You do not need set any parameters at all. Put the converted to your iPod touch, then you are able to watch your videos on iPod touch.

Try using Handbrake or OJOsoft total video converter!

New QuickTime can convert mkv into m4v.
    I didn't realize that until I've upgraded to s.leopard.
Open the mkv with QuickTime, under the share tab, iTunes
and that should do the trick
