    He BOUGHT the App Pack.

He wants it back. Don't give him that Repo.

    Why not Sync again?

Sync again does not give back the Jan update.
before jail breaking, I restore to fresh 1.1.4 which don't have the update

After you restored, did iTunes ask you to buy the January App Pack?

If you bought it you should still have a backup of it in the following location:

    Mac OS X:
    ~/Library/iTunes/Mobile Applications

    Windows XP
    C:\Documents and Settings[user name]\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\Mobile Applications\

It is called "iPod touch App Pack 4A93.ipa."

Also, it depends if you do a manual sync or automated, in my case it did not see if with one of them. Sorry, i cannot remember which one it was. Try it with either one. As long as you did not wipe out your pc...in that case you are out of luck.

    I didn't find that at C:\Documents and Settings[user name]\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\Mobile Applications\ I reinstalled my computer once after I purchased the software packet

Sorry, as I said, in that case you are out of luck. You will have to contact apple and see if they will re-issue the download. I learned the lesson the same way, and i now have a backup of the software saved.
