If you have a jailbroken ipod in 1.1.3 and you have the google maps application and hybrid doesnt work. well to make it work all you do is start you maps app. then switch to hybrid mode, and then just zoom in a little bit and the street names will come in over the satellite photo. I dont know why its like this but it works!

I noticed this too but I thought it was cleared up. This should be helpful.

Thanks for the tip. After zooming all the way in, it works on all zoom levels, strange bug.

Hmm ... this doesn't work for me.

Hybrid was working when I used iJailBreak, but some other stuff was messed up so I ended up restoring to 1.1.1 --> 1.1.2 --> 1.1.3 using the Dev Team method, and now hybrid doesn't work at all. I've tried zooming in and out, but nothing.

    Any ideas?

Exactly the same for me. It was working, but I was forced to restore and now it doesn't work anymore.

This worked for me back a while ago.

Try SSHing into your iPod and renaming or deleting /private/var/mobile/Library/Caches/MapTiles/MapTiles.sqlitedb

This will cause Maps.app to re-download all the map tiles it previously had cached hopefully with hybrid working.

    Please report back.
