So, if you do a few of these things it makes it a lot easier for us to help you.

    Search
Most of the time, your issue has been solved before. Search for keywords and browse through a few stickys and pages of the iPod touch Teck Help forum before you post a thread. Also try a normal Google search.

    Thread Title
Put some information in your title. "iTunes does not recognize iPod touch", is much better than simply "help plzz". It can help everyone scan over the new posts, and know if they can offer any help.

    Thread Information
Here are a few things that you should include while asking for help:

    • Firmware version
    • Jailbroken or not
    • Computer OS
    • The current state of your touch (normal, frozen, white writing on screen, coloured screen, blank screen etc.)
    • If there is writing on your iPod, what it says (try to be as accurate as possible)
    • What you were doing when the problem occured
    • What you have tried

    Behaviour
Be friendly, calm and patient. It makes it easier for everyone and will usually get your problem solved faster. And remember to (try) use proper grammar and spelling.

    Thank you.

    P.S. Sticky would be appreciated.

That wasn't for my own personal benefit of having a sticky, it's so people might see the thread and read it.

Great thread. I hope people take in consideration the first thing you said about thread titles.

You seem to put emphasis more so on asking questions, not searching and learning. It may be just me, but that's the way I took it.

Perhaps if you put the bit on searching at the beginning, the emphasis will shift.

You made great points, especially about the thread title and a respectful and calm demeanor.
