This is a simple guide which shows you how to get google talk for iPhone or iPod Touch without downloading anything from Cydia, Installer, App Store, etc.

    1. On your iPod Touch, in Safari, go to www.google.com/talk
    2. Click the plus sign and then "Add to Home Screen".
    3. Then save it and you have it on your home screen as an app!

    Enjoy!

    Google Talk (Wikipedia).

Google Talk (GTalk) is a Windows and web-based application for voice and instant messaging, offered by Google Inc. (For Gmail users).

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but on Gmail Talk none of my contacts sees me as online and they are all offline although Gmail Talk has my contact list. As soon as I log into a regular computer browser and sign in to chat we can see each other. However the ipod doesn't register at all. Is this an issue with the app or am I doing something wrong? I thought the gmail chat and talk were supposed to be sync'd up.
