[HOW TO] Flash a Custom ROM to Your Android Device

    Kinda easy to do this. Doesn't really need to be explained. Recovery > wipe > flash > reboot.

    what device are you rocking? bootloaders and kernels can be a daunting task before you even have a custom recovery. It might like to explain stuff for HTC devices or Sony lineup, just a link to the appropriate unlocking pages in xda might help for that step, then back to this thread. would probably have a brick without those guys

    Yeah, XDA is kinda the place to go to for these things. You'd get 1000x more support for this stuff there.

    Either way, its generally similar for all phones. That's why this guide is for MOST Android phones.

    Okay, this is what I get when I reboot into recovery using CWM on my Vibrant. So far I'm on stock, I had wiped everything before I even realized that there wasn't any option for me to flash from zip.
    What's up? Did I miss a step, or what? There are a lot of options that aren't there that I remember from the last time I had rooted. Currently I can't flash a ROM using a recovery program...
