FIX/SHOW YOUR ICONS s p o o n f o r k n i f e HAVE YOU EVER MANAGED TO GET TO THE POINT WHERE YOUR IPOD TOUCH HAS NO ICONS ON ITS HOME SCREEN? DID SOME IDIOT HIDE ALL YOUR ICONS? WAS THAT YOU? ==STEP 1: ARE YOU APPS STILL THERE?== SSH or connect (iPhoneBrowser/Total Commander) into your iPod and see if the applications are still there. If they are not then you are going to have to either restore or replace the applications from this thread with Stephen.4's Application Backups here. Once you have downloaded them, just stick them in the Applications folder and set permissions to 755. If they are, and hidden with Customize, and you hid customize, look no further... ==STEP 2: THE CUSTOMIZE METHOD== To launch Customize from your computer, type the command /Applications/Customize.app/Customize in your SSH client. Customize should then launch on your iPod and you can unhide the icons. If they still don't show up, you can try messing around with Customize enough, it will make a new N45AP.plist and your apps should show up as far as I know. If you used Poof to hid your icons, type the command /Applications/Poof.app/Poof and Poof should launch, doing the same thing as Customize above. ==STEP 3: THE CATEGORIES METHOD= If you hid things with Categories, and you have Windows, you can use a program called iOrder to unhide icons. http://iorderapp.googlepages.com/ You can also use the Customize Method above. ==STEP 4: PREVENTING== If you have dock, then you can obviously use that to launch applications, so you can launch Installer and install dock with that by unhiding things with Customize. In addition, if you restore your N45AP.plist file from a backup where your apps are fine, your apps will show.
