Hi there guys, today I'm going to share a fix for something I encountered on my iPod Touch a while back. Might be useful for people with the same problem.

Problem: You have a jailbroken iDevice, and it's passcode locked. One day you turn on your iDevice to find the iTunes Activation logo. You follow the instructions as normal, but iTunes tells you that you have to enter the passcode on you iDevice before it can do anything with it. But... where can I enter the passcode?

Solution: Reset passcode via SSH and activate with iTunes.

    You will need:

    • a jailbroken iDevice
    • to have OpenSSH installed on your iDevice
    • iTunes
    • An SSH client on your PC (For Windows, WinSCP. Mac users, Cyberduck)
WARNING: THIS SOLUTION WILL RESET SOME PASSWORDS IN APPS.
    How-to:

    1. Open your SSH client. Turn on your iDevice and connect it to your computer via SSH; There are plenty of tutorials of how to do that around the net. Try "SSH iphone" or something similar on google.
    2. Navigate to the root folder. Then go to var. Then into a folder called "Keychains".
    3. Delete the file named "keychain-2.bd"
    4. Restart your iDevice. You will still get the iTunes Recovery still.
    5. Open iTunes and connect your iDevice. iTunes will now sort out your iDevice and it will be back to it's previous state, only without a passcode. Of course, you can set a new passcode.
THIS TUTORIAL WAS WROTE FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES AND TO HELP USERS. DO NOT USE THIS GUIDE TO GET INTO STOLEN DEVICES!!
    Hope this helps some people,

SSH would only work if you have afc2add installed or openssh installed.

    Most people do.

EDIT: And if they don't, they need them.

i think the 4.0 jailbreak should include afc2add because a lot of people will update and jb.

or at least blackra1n and Spirit should be updated to include afc2add. many people experience problems after they jailbreak.
