Camera is a part of the Photos app. FaceTime is a part of the Phone app, which is not present on the iPod Touch 3G. You'll also need the FaceTime interface, part of the IMCore.framework and Conference.framework.
Correct. I just checked, you will need the MobilePhone app from the iPod 4(This way no editing required) and then try just adding the venice key
I'm not sure. The iPad has most of the needed things in place already. Where as the 3Gs and iPT 3G are missing most of the things.
ok, so u can facetime, but you cant show video am i correct? you can only see the other person's video stream. or can u connect a camera to the ipad and use that with the apple camera connector kit thing...?
You can see only their video. But both devices can hear each other's audio. There is no way to connect a camera to the iPad and have it work with FaceTime.
Can't get it work Thanks for the tutorial! I knew FaceTime could be on my iPad. Still trying hard to get it work though. I followed everything, plus SSHing the MobilePhone.app into /Applications/ (which is missed in the tutorial.) I got the FaceTime icon on my SpringBoard, but can't get it open. It stays at the default image for a few seconds before jumping back to the SpringBoard. Plus I can't see the FaceTime preference planes in Settings. Of course I have rebooted and resprung. Any idea? I just can't wait to get FaceTime on my iPad.
