I want to sell my ipod touch and normally I would just format it but there is the added factor of having visited various sites and entered personal information as well as set up email accounts, etc. which only apply to selling something like the touch. Anyone have suggestions for what I could do to ensure all personal data is unrecoverable, I'm using boot and nuke on my old laptop as I type this which goes over the hard drive 35 times. I probably don't need anything as extreme but something better than a simple format would be desirable.

Yeah, unfortunately restoring is your best, but only option.

Restore it in your iPod settings and restore it through iTunes as well.

and if restoring doesn't delete the history, you can do that manually on safari
