My goodness... There is a lot of $h!t wrong with this post.
    1) You didn't break your iPod. You jsut don't know what you are doiing.
    2) Maybe you should use the search function (it's at the top of the page... it says "Search".
    3) Don't post if you aren't paying attention to where you are posting. When you act like an ignorant bastard, expect to be treated like one.

All that being said.... Look at my #2. Try that on "Restore 1.1.1" (without the quotes). You should find one or two threads with direct links to the 1.1.1 restore file. Download the file, open iTunes. If you have a Windoze machine, hold "Shift"+Restore ; if it's a Hackintosh, hold "Option"+Restore. Then you'll be prompted to find the restore file. The rest, is self explanatory.

Please do not flame. There are much nicer ways of helping the OP. Like, for example supplying hi with a link. Because of the flaming, and because I am feeling Generous, here's how to do this:

    1) Download a copy of 1.1.1 firmware from the internet. We will not have that posted in this forum, so look elsewhere.
    2) In iTunes, hold shift and click on "Restore."
    3) Navigate to where ever you saved the file and select it.
    4) Wait.

I can guarantee you that this works, as I have done it several tiems today.

    Enjoy,
    Skylar
