NOTE: This method only works if you have an SHSH for 3.1.2 on file with Saurik.

Put your iPhone/iPod in DFU mode.

    Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

Open the "hosts" file with your favorite text editor.

Make a new line at the bottom and add "74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com"

Save the file, and restore your iPhone/iPod to the stock 3.1.2 firmware.

You WILL get a 1015 error when you try to restore.

    Run Quickpwn22-1

An alert message will pop up, make sure you DO NOT close it.

Follow the instructions in the window.

Your phone should boot up normally.

(the 1015 error occurs when everything but the baseband is updated. Once the restore is done, all you have to do is use Quickpwn22-1 to get it out of restore mode.)
