There is a simple way to downgrade from firmware version 1.1.3 to 1.1.1 on your iPod Touch or iPhone. Here is how:

    Basic Info

The process is very similar to the AutoDown method. It is a batch file i made that places the 1.1.3 iPod into restore mode and then copys (via iPhuc) the WTF.s5l8900xall.RELEASE dfu file to the device, making it possible to Downgrade in a matter of seconds.

    Dowloading The Files

The first file you need to download for this process, which is most important, is the downgrader batch file that i have created, at this location: http://touchtweaks.googlepages.com/iPodTouchDowngrade.zip

The next file to download, which you may already have in which case is not necessary to download again, is the 1.1.1 firmware ipsw file, which is downloadable at this location: http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite...927.In76t/iPhone1,1_1.1.1_3A109a_Restore.ipsw You are now ready to begin preparing for the downgrade process

    Preparing for the process

To be able to successfullly downgrade using this method, you must first make sure your device is running on firmware version 1.1.3,(ScreenShot Below) and also that you eject you device from iTunes before the process. After you eject it, open task manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL) and kill (terminate) iTunes.exe and iTunesHelper. You are now ready to begin.

    Using The Batch File

This is the easy part. Make sure your device is plugged into the USB port on your computer, open the iPod Touch Downgrade folder, and then open the batch file named Gojohnnyboi's Downgrade Prep(ScreenShot Below). Once opened it will say Press any key to start... (ScreenShot Below) So...do what it says and press any key. This will place the device into recovery mode. Once you device shows the connect to iTunes screen, press any key to continue to the next part, which copies the file to your iPod and then exits.

    Downgrading

You may now launch iTunes, in which you will get a screen confirming that you iPod/iPhone is in recovery mode and needs to be restored. Hold Shift and click on the "Restore" button And choose the 1.1.1 firmware ispw file that you downloaded earlier from whatever location you saved it to. Now let it go and it will successfully downgrade to firmware 1.1.1!!! (ScreenShot Below) Its that simple!

    Review (Simplified)

So Here are the steps, simplified.

    1. Download My Batch File
    2. Download The 1.1.1 ispw
    3. Make sure you're on 1.1.3
    4. Eject iPod/iPhone from iTunes
    5. Kill iTunes and iTunes Helper
    6. Open the batch file
    7. Hit enter to enter recovery mode, and once again to copy the dfu file
    8. Launch iTunes
    9. Shift+Restore and choose the 1.1.1 ispw file to restore!

And there you go, Basically the easiest method for downgrading your ipod. HOPE THIS HELPS!!!

    Thanks,
    Gojohnnyboi

    Another Way

    DFU Mode

    1. Connect iPod to Computer and open iTunes

    2. Hold the home and sleep buttons

    3. Let go of the sleep button when the iPod disconnects from iTunes

    4. Let go of the home button when the iPod reconnects to iTunes

    5. Shift Restore to 1.1.1
