this isn't an MC model (aka its the first 2g ipod touch) and i wanna know how to downgrade. I'm not really one to complain but it would be nice to be jailbroken on my 2G. Just give me simple directions i can follow, that would be much appreciated.

you don't have to downgrade, just use redsn0w 0.9.4

I use redsn0w 0.9.2 to jailbreak my ipt 8gb MC model. But I'm fairly new to jailbreaking. So I wonder: is it safe to assume that the dev team associated with redsn0w will keep supporting 0.9.2 (i.e. having all the right stuff on their server so that 0.9.2 can work its magic)?

Version doesn't matter. It connects to a server and uses same files.

Thanks again, CC. I used to be firmly a part of a community to which I could contribute. Now I'm part of this new world and can only ask questions. Your answers are much appreciated.
