I want to use my Ipod Touch 32GB 3rd Gen to create collection records for fungi, which I later transfer to my PC for storage, and sending to various people. The notes application would do the job but I cannot figure out how to transfer all notes files to my PC. I want to transfer across the USB cable, as I do not have wifi access. I would be prepared to use some other program instead of Notes, but I still cannot figure out how to transfer files! Could someone please help?

(The absence of a basic manual with the Ipod Touch is odd given its power. It would be nice to know the basics.)

I don't know where Notes keeps the data but Awesome Note (aNote for short) keeps it in the application folder (a criptic name, something like 3eE56oez-15234-etc) - Documents - notebase.db.

You could copy that via USB using iFunBox.

Thanks for the information. iFunBox allows me to see the filing system on the iPod Touch, and Awesome Note is installed, but there is no folder called Documents and no file called notebase.db.

Seems I can use MS Outlook 2003 to view notes files.
