    Thought I would type this up as there is a lot of confusion in the other thread.

    Step 1. Download the attached file, save as Info.plist (it will be a .txt file here, you have to rename to .plist)

    Step 2. SFTP into your iPod(WinScp or CuteFTP) and navigate to /Applications/MobileMusicPlayer.app

    Step 3. Put the downloaded Info.plist into this folder, you should get a message asking to overwrite the existing file(backup this file if you want to)

    Step 4. Navigate to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app

    Step 5. Download your N45AP.plist file and open it on your local computer.

    Step 6. Find these two entries, wherever they may be, either in the dock or icon list.
    <dict>
    <key>displayIdentifier</key>
    <string>com.apple.mobileipod-AudioPlayer</string>
    </dict>
    <dict>
    <key>displayIdentifier</key>
    <string>com.apple.mobileipod-VideoPlayer</string>
    </dict>

    Step 7. Once you find these entries, delete the entire VideoPlayer entry. From <dict> to </dict> (Delete the <dict> 's too.)

    Step 8. In the AudioPlayer entry, change the word Audio to Media. So "AudioPlayer" becomes "MediaPlayer".

    Step 9. At the bottom of your N45AP.plist file, you should find the heading of the special category. It looks like this
    <key>special</key>
    <array>

    Directly below <array> , copy and paste these two entries into the file
    <dict>
    <key>displayIdentifier</key>
    <string>com.apple.mobileipod-AudioPlayer</string>
    </dict>
    <dict>
    <key>displayIdentifier</key>
    <string>com.apple.mobileipod-VideoPlayer</string>
    </dict>

    Step 10. Save your modified N45AP.plist file, send it back to the iPod, then reboot.

    (optional) Step 11. If you are using Summerboard, the iPod icon is known as iPod.png , so if you want a custom icon to show up for the iPod.app when using Summerboard, name the icon iPod.png You would put this icon in the Icons folder within the theme you are using.

    Step 12. Enjoy

    What program do you use to edit the *.plist file? When I open it with word or wordpad it's just all jumbled up. I don't know why, maybe I'm missing something?

    Here is a converted N45AP file with the stock order of icons.

    It will be a .txt so save the file as N45AP.plist.

    Awesome! This is great for people who want to make their iPod touch look like an iPhone. Good job!

    How will this affect the latest version of Customize? (not the ipod one in the sticky; the one from installer)

    Actually, I had problems with the Customize installed from the Installer.app when I tried this trick. I tried to "rearrange icon order" and instead of loading the icon list, it crashed. Maybe it has something to do with deleting that coding from the file? I'm going to try leaving that part in and just hiding it with Customize and see if that works.

    Somebody should sticky this, this is a good guide. Even though how to do this is in the Ultimate guide, this is much clearer than the instructions in the other guide.
