I have found a couple posts, but I am still confused. I have the demo app from cydia and the thing that lets me use python in terminal but is there something like IDLE? I want something so I will be able to write the entire program and then execute it all on my ipod. Thanks

To code Python iPhone apps, you'll still need to use UIKit. I think Saurik created a bridge called PyCaboodle/UICaboodle (probably based on PyObjC) to enable you to do so.

On cydia just look up python and you'll find it.
