How To Change Safari Name

    how can i change just the name of the safari to FireFox without it breaking? thanks if you help

    What do you mean by breaking? If you want to do it in a simple way, just hide all icon labels with your smb prefs and make your own custom icon with the letters below to say "firefox" or "IE".

    you have to create all sorts of symlinks and stuff

    cant you rename it to "whatever".app, or wait, maybe you cant since its 'mobilesafari.app" not that actual name that shows

    Im pretty sure you can ssh with winSCP and change the name of it... I changed hidepods name to secondcalc just by clicking the name of the folder in winSCP

    Edit: I didn't read tmans post he may be right

    Yea, it has been tested with every app and its possible. but you cant with this one for some reason. Also i read somewhere that you can add a string to the info.plist and it changes the name, i dont remeber what the string was tho :\

    In the plist file in it, it shows that name, change that and your done...
