    HI...
I know there are cydia applications to change this but I was wondering if there was a string you could put into a themes info.plist to change the ipod/iphone text on the left side of the status bar.

    Thanks

lol...for now im just using Make it Mine from cydia...it works fine. It can also put what ever text you want where the clock usually is on the status bar.

Well, you can do this. First, start a new image in photoshop (the length doesn't matter, but it has to be 20 pixels high). You can put text, a picture, whatever you want. Then save it as Default_CARRIER_IPOD.png, then duplicate it and change the name to FSO_CARRIER_IPOD.png. Then make a folder called "Carrier Icon" or whatever, make a folder in that called "Bundles", make a folder in that called "com.apple.springboard", and then put the two images in "com.apple.springboard". Activate in Winterboard.

Also, if you want to change the font of your system (icons, ect.) download fontswap.

In my experience there is no way you can change the text on your iPod touch/iPhone. I recomend you to use cydia to change the text and a lot more of options.
