One of my friends has just bought a phone, it is the Samsung Galaxy 5, you can check out the specs here

    http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i5500b-3371.php

He keeps telling everyone who has phones like Atrix, SGSII, Droid Razr and others, that there phone sucks and that his is way better. I want to tell him to stop because he is embarrasing himself, the people that he tells it too are Android developers, so they can tell a good phone from a bad one. How can I tell him to stop bragging that his phone is better, and also tell him that his phone sucks, in a nice way?

I'm sure you've explained to him through facts and opinion that his phone sucks, but if he still doesn't budge, just let it go and he'll eventually stop talking about it.

Wow, that's a horrible phone. Its got touchwiz too. Which makes it been worse.

Just show him the facts, as others have said.

I have shown him the facts, I even tried to get all of my other friends phone (one has a One X) and do a couple of speeds test's, but he wont budge. A little while ago he was bragging because he has Eclair on his phone and all of the others have GingerBread or ICS. Its very annoying, he has had the phone for about 1-2 months now and he still goes on about it, every day he will make a smart remark about it, here, I will paint you the scene.

In the back of the classroom during a free period, there is 5 guys sitting there talking about there tech stuff, one said, Guess what, I have linux booting on my tablet and Android too, then the friend would say yeah but your Linux/Android dual boot would suck if I did that to my phone, my phones speed would absaloutely thrash yours in every way.

    Or

In the back of the classroom during a free period, there is 5 guys sitting there talking about there tech stuff, one person with his Galaxy Nexus is showing us Jelly Bean, then he would say, yeah but you should see the ROM that I have on my phone <wips out phone with a stock 2.1 TouchWiz ROM on it> they do some comparisons, the one thing that can be done faster on the Galaxy 5 is opening settings because you have a menu button. Then he would say, "hah, see my phone is better than yours, I can open the core of the OS faster than you and your SLOW (yeah he said slow) Galaxy Nexus can.

Here is a bit of a funny story for you,

I tried to load the specs web-page on his phone and the browser crashed and the phone became unresponsive for about 10 minutes, he said that it was because of the flash on the website, then after a bit, the phone rebooted into download mode, asking him to reflash the STOCK ROM.

UPDATE : So I have now shown him the facts on my friends One X and he still thinks that his is better because Quad Core device's usually have processor problems and they are clocked at a lower speed than his (600mhz anyone?)

This was written so fast because I had no internet for a bit so I wrote the two posts, I decided to split them because this episode happened a few hours later.

Are you sure he isn't taking the piss? You could always punch him in the face, a very good lesson in my experience.
