    i've been trying to figure out how to do this ever since i got my new itouch! i didn't even have to jailbreak! i know there are some cydia apps that enable this, but i hear they EAT your battery, thanks!

    They don't eat your battery. They edit the same plist file...

    wait so i did this right, and it worked and all..
    i had 77% to start with, then i played some music and it went to 78% and now its at 80%. it is not plugged in. what is this?

    also how do i change it back, if i only had one backup file? :S

    Its not a problem. Mine does that also. It's because the battery recalculates its value from time to time.

    If you would want to uninstall it, just do the same, but remove those lines from the backup.

    You can just press enable battery percentage when you jailbreak and download make it mine in cydia.

    Yes for the battery percentage depending on how you're jailbreaking, but for the 4G, you'll need SBSettings or another application.

    Yes for the make it mine

    But this tread was made for doing it without the requirement of a jailbreak, some people like to not jailbreak for their own reasons.
